dita

dita von teese glammed it up at the malibu country mart yesterday afternoon as she attended - wait for it - a film screening. click HERE to see my review for www.style.com and to witness the other woman who headlined the event (though lets face it, dita won fair and square in the glamour stakes).

"i've photographed just about everyone in the world. but what i hope to do is photograph people of accomplishment, not celebrity, and help define the difference once again."

william scott...

thanks to the eternally cool kim hastreiter from paper magazine, i have embarked on my quest to spread the news about an arts organization in san francisco named creative growth which promotes the work of an awe-inspiring artist named william scott (that's his work below). i hope to photograph the artist himself later this month when i make my way to san francisco but until then, if you are interested in learning more about creative growth then check HERE

philip...

all those years of delicately tearing pages from magazines and ever-so-carefully sticking them upon my bedroom walls in australia way back in the day reached a pivotal turning point last night as i interviewed philip-lorca di corcia aka one of the most legendary photographers of our time. he's pretty cocky this guy actually. case in point: he told me his favorite image from an exhibition of one thousand polaroids (currently on show at lacma) is one particular shot of male genitalia and then later confessed to not doing much by himself these days apart from taking naked snapshots of himself in hotel bathrooms a lot. um, interesting.
