since purple magazine's head honcho olivier zahm seems to warrant such a huge amount of cache with everyone i meet (seriously, people go gaga over this guy), i thought this would be an interesting exercise to examine exactly what maketh the mix according to the famed frenchman when editing his ever-popular, PURPLE DIARY
nixed from the edit of lisa eisner's opening were snapshots of (in order below): liz goldwyn, scarlett lamy (daughter of rick owens and michelle lamy), charlie eisner (lisa's son), photographer shaniqwa jarvis, vincent gallo, and interestingly, a close-cropping of the kelly lynch photo submitted to exclude fellow guests in the shot.
welcome to 2010 folks, a time where an edit can evolve and return, according to the original eye of the beholder. power to the people..just don't call me the new tavi!!
my version of the kelly lynch snapshot:
