i am, of course, channeling the lead character in my favorite film of all-time, federico fellini's masterpiece "nights of cabiria" (1957). am i a carbon-copy of giulietta masina? probably not. do i feel a million bucks at least doing my best to play an updated version of her character over 50 years after the world was first introduced to her? hell yes! its all about the quest of interpretation: note my sunny L.A take on cabiria's rainy italian stance.

oh god I love this movie, this actress. no it was not cool to wear socks with sandals burning thru late teens in miami 50 long years ago (looked too much like world war two, so dowdy) see how truly truly cool it really was when you see her now.
